Autopsy Confirms Pregnancy
The autopsy performed on Camila Agustina Vecchiarello has revealed that she was pregnant at the time of her death, a finding described as shocking. The forensic examination confirmed a very recent gestation of only a few weeks. According to the main hypothesis held by investigators, neither Vecchiarello nor her husband, Carlos Gonzalo Rivero, was aware of the pregnancy when the fatal attack occurred. The forensic report has been added to the case file in which Rivero is charged.[S1]
Attack in Barreal
The investigation, led by the Special Crimes Prosecutor's Office, indicates that the accused attacked the victim with two bladed weapons inside the apartment they rented in Barreal. At the time, both were completing the entrance course for the National Gendarmerie. Riveros, aged 25 and originally from Tartagal, Salta, had also undergone training to join the Gendarmería. However, according to information published by Tiempo de San Juan, he had recently been separated from the institute. That relationship is now central to the judicial investigation.[S1]
Who Was Camila Vecchiarello
Camila Vecchiarello was 26 years old and a native of Rosario, Santa Fe. Some time ago she decided to move to San Juan to begin a new chapter linked to her personal and professional goals. Her aim was to join the National Gendarmerie, so she settled in the town of Barreal, where she underwent the corresponding instruction. She shared that path with her partner. A letter confessing to the crime was left by Riveros.[S1]
